My first beet grown from seed.  This one took months to grow; a beet plant will only provide one beet, but they’re worth a few rows in my garden.  Beets are tasty as well as rich in nutrients.  Not only that, but the leaves can be sautéed or tossed in a juicer.  Beet seeds have an interesting look; sturdy and full of character.
