Garden #2 is highlighted in this post.  I put down various seeds in early February and now have some good vegetables coming up here in mid March.  Radishes and lettuce will soon stock up the kitchen.  Very rewarding to put together a nutritious salad by walking out back and snipping some lettuce and pulling some radishes.  One important point worth mentioning is that in addition to the rain we get down here in SE Texas, my two rain barrels help keep the garden hydrated.  The rain barrels have yet to go empty, even during the summer months.  Gardens do ok with city water, but it can’t be debated that pure rain water is superior.  If you want a rain barrel for your garden, drop me a line.
