romaine lettuce in garden #3 – oct 2015

This post shows green and red romaine lettuce maturing throughout Oct 2015.  There are two ways to harvest romaine: 1) clip only the lettuce leaves that you will eat at any given time and 2) pull out the entire head of lettuce for large consumption.  I go with the former, as the plant continues to produce leaves for a lengthy period until it finally gives in and begins to “bolt”, which I’ll capture and post to the pf blog.
