I decided to expand garden #3 to increase my harvest.  This is especially good for lettuce, spinach, and broccoli because you can snip the lettuce/spinach leaves and broccoli stems, and they continue to grow throughout the season.  There are many Fall vegetables that are suitable for our mild winters.  In upcoming photos, you’ll see the finished layout of garden #3.  Cinder blocks create a sturdy and long-lasting border, which can also house smaller vegetable plants and flowers that keep bugs/pests away.
