homemade protein smoothie part 3
The ease of making homemade smoothies is one of its main attractions. Although I've listed measurements in detail, you'll soon find that you can "eye-ball" all of the measurements and simply use a kitchen spoon for everything.
- a few ice cubes
- a handful (5 to 6) frozen strawberries
- approx 8 oz water
- 1 banana
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 T psyllium
- 2 T steel cuts oats
- 1 t maca root powder
- 1/4 c cottage cheese
- 1/2 c yogurt
Blend 'til smooth. Add water if it's too thick, add ice if it's too thin or not icy enough. You'll soon learn how to make your "perfect" smoothie time and time again.
