Omega-6 offers many of the benefits of omega-3.  It also pairs with omega-3 to produce vital hormones called Prostaglandins.  These help to maintain the immune system, circulation, cell growth, and a healthy hormonal balance.

  • walnuts, pumpkin seeds

Word of Caution
Omega-6 increases inflammation, which is actually beneficial to our immune system, blood clotting, and cell growth.  However, as previously stated, our Western diet offers too much omega-6 and too little omega-3.  This imbalance can lead to chronic inflammation, disease, and primal breakdown.
