These photos show the cabbage getting off to a great start.  The plethora of leaves surround the cabbage head like a mother cradling her child.  Not only do the leaves provide shelter during maturation, but they soak up the sun's rays and point the water flow down towards the middle and into the root system.  How cool is that!
